At Jambin State School, our mission is to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment where every student is supported to reach their full potential - both academically and personally.
We are a small school with a strong sense of community, where every student is known, valued, and challenged to grow into a confident, capable learner. Our school motto, "Rising to the Challenge," reflects our belief in setting high expectations while providing the support needed to help every child succeed.
Our Core Values
Jambin State School's expectations are built around three core values that guide behaviour and learning across all areas of school life:
-
Be Respectful
-
Be Responsible
-
Be Safe
These values are taught explicitly and reinforced consistently to help students understand what respectful, responsible, and safe behaviour looks like - in the classroom, on the playground, and throughout the school.
We believe discipline is about more than rules and consequences. It's about teaching and supporting students to make positive choices, repair harm when needed, and build strong relationships with others. Our school uses restorative practices to resolve conflict, repair relationships, and help students grow from their experiences.
Student Code of Conduct
Our Student Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for student behaviour at Jambin and reflects our commitment to:
- Teaching positive behaviour in a proactive, supportive way
- Providing clear and consistent consequences
- Considering individual student needs and circumstances
- Preventing and responding to bullying and unsafe behaviour
- Supporting students to build resilience and problem-solving skills
We aim to help every student become a respectful, confident, and thoughtful member of their school and wider community.
